Auto Ducking is a macOS menu bar app. When a microphone app becomes active (dictation, voice notes, calls), it fades your system volume down to a level you choose and restores it when the mic is released. Per-app include/exclude, presets, restore delay, per-device levels and a global hotkey. It only checks whether the mic is in use and never records, transcribes or uploads audio. Requires macOS 14+. Free for 7 days, then a one-time $7.99 unlock.
